As you probably know, Jo was in the original line-up for the girl band Solid HarmoniE, along with Beki and Mariama. She recorded a few brilliant songs while she was in the band, before she left before the band become vaguely famous. Because of her amazing voice she sung lead on almost every track!

Jo left Solid HarmoniE because she felt she was too young to hit the big time and go internationally, as the group had originally planned. She joined when she was 16, through an audition that Beki set up with two German producers, Sven and Alex. She already knew Mariama from college and she asked Jo to go along to the audition. And a little known fact is that Beki went with Jo to get her first tattoo, which is the butterfly on her bum!

When Jo left SHE, two new members joined and they released a couple of songs in the UK which didn't do too well, eventually leading to the bands break-up. They re-formed a couple of times with different members but nothing really worked out. The other members went on to concentrate on solo careers and acting.
